Christmas...it's practically here!

Daddy, It's Cold Outside - Free Download
I wish it were tomorrow! I can't wait for the kids to go to bed in anticipation of Santa coming and then wake up Christmas morning to see that he indeed came! Also, I am way happy to be in 75 degree sunny weather every day this year rather than being in the cold. A friend from Provo asked me today on the phone if I didn't miss the snow just a little? I don't at all. I like the first snow and watching it fall and maybe throwing a snowball or two, but for the most part, I prefer great weather that I can enjoy barefoot on the green grass with the warm sun shining on my back and a cool gentle breeze. Can anyone blame me? This is what I grew up with! But at any rate, here is a song that I love and I have to agree with the kid on this one.

So far so fun!

We are here at Grandma and Grandpa Woodward's house in San Diego for the month. The kids are really loving being able to play outdoors as much as they want and there is tons of space for them to play inside too! They are also so happy to have lots of cousins around to play with. Way nicer than being cramped inside a small apartment all day with no friends in an unfamiliar neighborhood. Here are the faces of my grateful children after Sea World last week. After this, I was really motivated to want to take them to Disneyland this spring. :) Think of the happy faces that would follow that excursion! Nora has been pretty happy besides suffering from the nasty cold that we have all had the last week. She has started kind of crawling. She scoots forward by picking up her back half onto her toes and putting her face on the floor and pushing. She also rolls back to tummy and tummy to back. She is pretty good at getting to where the action is or toys are. She scooted about 6 feet to get herself under the Christmas tree to check out this ornament.

Halloween

Our Halloween was very different this year. We went to our ward party and the kids went room to room in the church to get treats. I had a room and passed out treats with Nora as my little helper (although she fell asleep pretty fast in her bumbo chair and really just became another decoration in the room). It was weird to not trick or treat at Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's house or even know a single person at our ward party, but at least we had something to do. I hope that Jeremy and I can get callings soon so that we can have some instant friends. :)

We made it...Whew!

Monsters vs. Aliens scene when Derek tells Susan right before their wedding that they are not going to Paris for their honeymoon anymore.

Susan: Why not?

Derek: Because we are going somewhere better.

Susan: Better than Paris? Where? Tahiti?

Derek: Nope! Fresno!

Susan: Fresno? In what universe is Fresno, better than Paris, Derek?!

Derek: I got an audition to become channel 23's new evening anchor!

We made it to Fresno after 10 exciting hours in the car with all three kids stuffed (no joke) into the back seat of our Jimmy. We left the van in St. George with Jeremy's brother because it was having some problems and we didn't trust it to drive clear out here and we also didn't care to put any more money into fixing it. So, we are living in the Clovis area in an apartment for the next few months saving some money to buy a new van and getting to know the area so we can buy a house in the spring. Jeremy is WAY excited about his new job. His commute is easy (no freeways) and he is the lucky recipient of some awesome technology provided by the Church for work. Apparently the new iPhone 4 is "the Lord's communication device" according to Jeremy. :) It sure is fun. I have lost my camera cord along with a few other things in the move, so pics will have to wait (as always).

Correction!

After being in lovely southern utah for only a few weeks, we are being relocated to Fresno, California in another few weeks! The people at the St. George Deseret Industries liked Jeremy so much that they recommended him for a better position with the church. The head guys in Salt Lake and Fresno interviewed him and seemed to like him as well because they offered him full-time employment to really broaden the reaches of the LDS employment resource program in Fresno. This is a huge opportunity that few get and we are very happy that he was given this chance to shine. Yay for J!

Moving

We are moving to St. George next week. We are planning on getting a new computer, and hopefully we'll have internet there so I can start blogging again!
