Easter and treats

We went four wheeling above Richfield last weekend. That was a nice treat for Jeremy and I.

Paul ate a smoothie with me the other day. He can be so funny at times. He is such a ham for the camera. :)

We had a fun easter. It lasted a few days with egg hunts and parties here and there. At our house easter morning we kept it simple. Paul found eggs that we had dyed at a friend's house and we had baskets with juice boxes and cracker snacks mostly. There was a small bunny and chick in each of their baskets. Katie's basket was purely for a photo opportunity since she is not into the candy or juice thing yet, but she did look darn cute holding the baby chick.

quick update

The faces of Katie. Sometimes she smiles at us, but usually she looks like this or she is sticking her tongue out and kind of staring. :)

March Madness

We have done a lot in the last few weeks. Jeremy had a beard and then we shaved it off little by little. Here are some highlights from that experience:

Here are some of my favorite pics from the last couple weeks. Katie is smiling a lot more and has calmed down so much. She sleeps completely through the night as of a month ago. However, I lost the bottle battle. She will only nurse. She hates the bottle. Paul has been adventuring out around the house more since it has been pretty nice springlike weather here in Provo.
I also was in a guest star in a low budget family movie for my sister, Ashley's wedding. The costume is gone, but here is my hair.

It saved our lives

Jeremy and I had a scare last night. Our carbon monoxide detector alarm went off. We called the fire dept and they detected carbon monoxide in our bedrooms and in the hallway next to the water heater (the source of it). It's just like they say, we had no sense of it. Symptoms of intoxication are nausea and sleepiness. We were getting ready for bed, we were all tired anyway. We wouldn't have recognized that, and nausea doesn't set in until you have been exposed for a little while. Anyway, the firemen used a big fan to clear our house of it and reset the detector. They turned off the heat to our water heater and told us not to turn it back on until it was replaced or fixed. So, now we don't have hot water--a small price to pay. Our landlady had just installed these detectors before christmas. We would not be here today without it's warning. Please everyone, if you don't already have one, install a carbon monoxide detector.

Much love and gratitude,

Laura, Jeremy, Paul, and Katie

This one's for the girls...

My brother, Matt and nephew, Logan. Don't worry they don't normally dress like this. It was for a skit. But, geesh, they look so good, they could set a new trend. I have Matt's phone number for anyone who is looking for true love.

Fun Idea Steph and Friends!

I completely copied and pasted this from my sister-in-laws blog so I wouldn't have to recreate it. Because I totally want something cool from her, I am advancing this fun idea. However, I will change it a little. You don't have to do this on your blog, too. Only if you want. For me, just be one of the first five people to respond to this post with an awesome joke/anecdote and you will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some disclaimers:

1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!

2- What I create will be just for you.

3- It'll be done this year.

4- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry or an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!

5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
